Join us for a special edition of the DAAP Alumni Nework’s series DAAPmade! DAAP’s Director of the School of Design, Gjoko Muratovski will kick off the morning. DAAP Associate Professor and Program Director of Communication Design, Reneé Seward will share her ongoing research, her journey in the field, and the future of typeface design. Come and connect with fellow DAAPers and members of the creative community. Coffee and breakfast bites will be provided.

About the Research: Did you know there was a way to harness technological advances in typeface design to create preventive education tools? Reneé Seward and a team of designers and educators have developed the See Word Reading® tool in hopes of changing the current reading statistics in our country. Winner of the 2015 Cincinnati Innovates Award, See Word Reading® is a personalized, fun and effective platform for students to learn early literacy skills through a teacher app and a student app.
