“Great designers aren’t built from working 60-hour weeks. Great designers are built from treating their own lives with respect. We need to treat our lives the way we treat our designs.” – Cassius Kiani, Inside Design (blog by Invision)
Sounds great — in theory. We all know that reality can look very different. Between career demands, professional growth and family obligations, we have a long way to go in getting closer to the work/life balance ideal – even more so if you are female.
So, what’s preventing us from getting there? Whether you are still in school or have decades of experience, women designers face unique obstacles in achieving balance.
The first step in crafting the roadmap to work/life balance is identifying the barriers that trip us up along the way. Huddle up with us and help us figure out a game plan to get us closer to our goals as women in design.
