President

Ashton is an Associate Product Designer for Kroger Technology and Digital, and has a BFA in Graphic Design from Miami University (OH). Serving as a member of the board since 2017, she brings her love of community, continued learning, and thoughtful programming to her role as Co-President for AIGA Cincinnati. She believes in the importance of representation within the design profession, the power of bringing people together, and that design can change the world. When Ashton isn’t working, you can find her participating in one of her many hobbies from tennis to piano or exploring new bars & restaurants in the city.

Clara Cornelius

Co-Vice President

Clara Cornelius is graphic designer, creative strategist, lettering artist, hyper creator, and lover of all the small details. Previously, Clara was Creative Director at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), a multi-disciplinary arts center located in Brooklyn, NY. In 2015, she left BAM to found Studio Cornelius, an elastic design practice focusing on branding and strategy for arts organizations and non-profits. Clara has been an AIGA member for many years, but this is her first board member role. She is new to Cincinnati and is looking forward to building a community of creative friends and collaborators.

Beau Broering

Co-Vice President

Beau is a founding partner of AGNT, a strategic design studio in Covington, KY. He is a graduate of the Graphic Design program through DAAP before it evolved into the Communications Design program. Beau has since earned his MBA with certificates in innovation, business foundations, marketing, and operations from the University of Cincinnati. He has been a member of AIGA since 2007, but this is his first board member role in the organization. With a strong desire to give back to the community, Beau is hoping to provide mentorship and opportunities to grow design collaboration in Cincinnati. Outside of work, you’ll likely find Beau enjoying time with wife, son, and daughter, volunteering for community events, or working on the many rehab projects in his home.

Pierce Gohlke

Operations Director

Pierce is a Product Designer for GE Aviation and has a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati. A fresh face to the board as of June 2022, he hopes to bring his enthusiasm for planning and cheerful personality to his role as Operations Director. To him design is everywhere; it takes the right perspective to make something useful. Outside of work, Pierce enjoys spending time with his partner and their corgi, Tater, playing board games, organizing dinner parties, and trying to hit as many of Cincinnati’s newest coffee shops and eateries as possible.

Skye Gould

Community Director

Skye is a designer who leads creative teams. She is currently the Design Director for Insider, where she leads a team of award-winning designers, developers, and photographers to create data visualizations, illustrations, and multimedia storytelling projects for a newsroom of over 600 journalists. Skye has over 10 years of professional design experience, the last 5 of which she has spent growing and managing a creative team. Skye was an AIGA member of the NY chapter for many years before moving to Cincinnati in 2021. This is her first board member role and she is excited to be more involved in growing the design community here.

Mallory  Hartzler

Accessibility Director

Mallory (they/she) is currently a UX Lead for KeyBank and has a BS in Graphic Communication Design from the University of Cincinnati. For the last ten years, they have been working to create a more just and equitable world by making technology, design, and the energy of human connection more accessible. Serving as a board member since 2022, they bring their curiosity, advocacy of accessibility and passion for fostering community to their role as Accessibility Director. When Mallory isn’t in the midst of various research projects, they enjoy exploring nature on hikes, obsessing over dinosaurs, and spending time with their fur companion, Jax.

Mason Duncan

Communications Director

Mason Duncan is a Designer and Project Manager at The Warehouse Collaborative. This integrated group of creative thinkers works to strengthen and enhance business potential, and efficiently create high quality, innovative communications programs and video content. She helps clients attain communications goals and reach new audiences. Mason graduated from University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Studio Arts, with an emphasis in Graphic Design, and a minor in Media Arts. She is a new addition to the board as of February 2023 and is looking forward to her role as Communications Director for AIGA Cincinnati. She brings her love of design and art to her passion for the community. Outside of work, Mason enjoys spending time with her 2 rescue dogs, discovering and dining in Cincinnati’s newest restaurants, and oil painting. She excited to help connect, grow and learn from the talented individuals in Cincinnati’s diverse design fields.
