AIGA Cincinnati stands with our Black peers, colleagues, friends, family and community members. We stand against racism in all forms and the violent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and many other countless Black lives.
We are sad. We are angry. We need the world to do better. So we are stepping up to do better.
We believe that our support needs to be visible and we need to show up. As we continue to serve you as AIGA Cincinnati, we aim to amplify BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) voices and take clear action against racism and injustice. We will celebrate diverse perspectives and ensure equitable resources for all community members.
We want to begin by listening to you, the Cincinnati creative community. Do you have ideas or resources to share? Who should we reach out to for partnerships? If you or someone you know has a powerful story to share, we want to know about it. We recognize the importance of supporting the voices of the community on this matter. Share your feedback here: https://bit.ly/37m4z-Community-Feedback
Additionally, we’ve compiled a list of resources, but this is by no means an exhaustive list. We encourage you, as our community, to contribute in whatever way you can.
Reflect
What are some ways you’ve benefited from current systems that others may not have?
How can you use your skills to ensure equity and justice in those systems?
