Panelists:

Sarah – Director of UX Research

Sarah leads Openfield’s research efforts, combining EdTech expertise with research, design, and business strategy. She drives collaboration, team development, and strategic initiatives to keep Openfield at the forefront of EdTech user needs. Sarah’s insights enable clients to create impactful products addressing real needs. An avid reader and traveler, she now channels her wanderlust into experimenting with global recipes.

Kyle – UX Design Lead

Kyle excels at simplifying complexity and creating engaging data visualizations at Openfield. His journalism background and decade in news organizations inform his unique approach to UX design. Kyle’s calm demeanor and analytical skills drive confident decision-making for clients and users. Outside work, he enjoys biking, outdoor activities, and painting, alongside time with his wife, son, and dog.

Tanner – Senior UX Designer

Tanner designs innovative, user-friendly applications at Openfield, leveraging his Interactive Media Studies degree from Miami University. His Spanish minor adds cross-cultural design insight. A tech enthusiast since childhood, Tanner contributes to Openfield’s culture of innovation. He’s passionate about electronic music, sports (especially FC Cincinnati and Chelsea FC), and achieved the impressive feat of completing the Boston Marathon.

Juli – UX Researcher

Juli investigates challenges facing educators and learners at Openfield. Her diverse background in Design, Marketing, and Horticulture from the University of Cincinnati’s D.A.A.P. provides a unique research perspective. Previous roles at GE Aviation and EBTH enhance her user experience knowledge. Juli’s love for travel, ignited by studying abroad in Italy, informs her work. She enjoys watercolor painting and nurtures over 50 plants.

Annie – Director of UX Design (Moderator)

At Openfield, Annie ensures superior client and user experiences, fostering team collaboration and guiding career development. As an IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), she champions accessibility standards. Annie contributes to strategic decisions, evolving the company to meet changing EdTech needs. Outside of work, Annie is a lifelong runner who enjoys exploring National Parks and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
