Pressing On: The Letterpress Film Screening Panel & Exhibition

*** THIS EVENT IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT. FEEL FREE TO JOIN THE WAITLIST. ***

The modern world was born on a printing press. Once essential to communication, the 500-year-old process is now in danger of being lost as its caretakers age. From self-proclaimed basement hoarders to the famed Hatch Show Print, Pressing On: The Letterpress Film explores the question: why has letterpress survived in a digital age?

Join Co-Director Erin Beckloff for a night of exploration into this historic process that has been revitalized by young printers. Start the evening with a printing demo and opportunity to pull your own limited-edition print as well as enjoy booths of letterpress collectibles and merchandise. Then, enjoy a screening of the film followed by a Q&A panel with some local printers. Bites and refreshments will be provided. This is an event created for the designer, type nerd, historian, and collector in all of us.
