For the second year, AIGA Cincinnati + WomanUp will honor Women’s History Month by presenting a community gallery show titled Words of Wisdom. This event is generously sponsored and hosted by Spicefire. We'll be celebrating the inspiring words of women in the world by showcasing unique pieces during a gallery show on Friday, March 31, 2017. We're looking for creative pieces from artists, designers, and everyone in between. All are welcome to submit their work, details on how are found here. Should you decide to donate your work, art sales will benefit Girls with Pearls.

Art sales will benefit Girls with Pearls, priced by the artist at $10-50 per piece. Art sales begin at 7pm and pieces are first come, first serve.

About Girls with Pearls:

Girls with Pearls, Cincinnati, is a leadership program for elementary and junior high school girls, with curriculum support from Boys & Girls Clubs of America Smart Girls program. Girls with Pearls is designed to keep a girl in school and empower her to plan for her future and the goals she wants to achieve in her life. The need for gender-specific programs is well-researched. The experiences of boys and girls are different. Girls need a safe space to talk about and work through issues that they’re dealing with like self-esteem, their bodies and body image, sexuality and healthy relationships.
